Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TruSoftware LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the operator of Vacation Club Planner (the “Service”), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
  • Content you create. The plans, saved views, and preferences you build in the Service.
  • Support messages. If you contact us, we collect the name, email, and message you provide.
  • Usage analytics. To understand how many people use the Service, we record anonymous page-view events. We count unique visitors with a privacy-preserving method: a one-way cryptographic hash derived from your IP address and browser type. We do not store your raw IP address, and we do not use tracking cookies for analytics. If we enable Google Analytics in the future, it will be disclosed here and subject to Google’s privacy terms.
  • Essential cookies. We use a secure session cookie to keep you signed in. It is required for the Service to function and is not used for advertising.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to operate, maintain, and improve the Service; to authenticate you and secure your account; to send transactional emails such as email verification and password resets; to respond to your support requests; and to produce aggregate, anonymous usage statistics.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, under appropriate confidentiality obligations:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS SES) — to deliver transactional email.
  • Our hosting infrastructure — to run and store the Service.
  • Google Analytics (only if enabled) — for aggregate analytics.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law. Aggregate, anonymized analytics may be kept.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA). To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. You can also update your profile or delete your account at any time from within the Service.

6. Security

We protect your information using industry-standard measures, including bcrypt password hashing and encryption in transit (HTTPS). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Users

We operate in the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. By using the Service, you consent to this processing.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
